How to fix BotGem reporting Model Not Found or an unknown model
Model Not Found means the requested model ID is not in the AI Code With list or is mistyped. Entering the exact Model ID from this page usually resolves it.
Start with these checks
The requested model ID does not match a model provided by AI Code With.
- BotGem reports Model Not Found or an unknown model.
- A Model ID in the Model List is mistyped or has extra spaces
- Open BotGem Settings β Service Provider and select the OpenAI API Compatible provider

Check the model ID
The Model ID must be a real AI Code With model. Copy the ID from this page (e.g. deepseek-v4-flash) rather than typing it, and avoid extra spaces.

Enter the correct model
Type the exact Model ID into the BotGem Model List field and save. BotGem's OpenAI-compatible provider needs manual model entry and does not auto-fetch the list.
- 1Open BotGem Settings β Service Provider and select the OpenAI API Compatible provider

Check access and verify
If the model ID is correct but still errors, check whether the current API key can access that model. Once the correct model is added and replies normally, the setup is complete.
